ABDC and NZ Deans meeting
27 to 28 March | Macquarie University City Campus | In person + online
Business school deans in Australia and New Zealand will attend this first ABDC meeting for 2025. The full day programme on Thursday and half day programme on Friday will cover:
- ABDC Strategy Workshop, with a presentation of the results of our recent member survey
- Industry roundtable on the impacts of AI for business schools
- Business school accreditation and initaitives across Asia-Pacific business schools
- Decasualisation: impacts and approaches
- Launch of ABDC Climate Capabilities report

BARDsNet meeting

Associate deans research from business schools in Australia and New Zealand will attend this first BARDsNet meeting for 2025. The full day programme on Thursday and half day programme on Friday will cover:
- Societal impact workshop
Dr Chelsea Phillips started as a postdoc at ABDC (visiting fellow at UNSW; fulltime for a year) January 15 2025 to develop a framework for Australian business schools to assess and measure societal impact. During the workshop Chelsea will present her work so far and ask for feedback from the audience.
- Tools to improve the societal impact for business schools
- Journal Quality List review
- Industry roundtable on the impacts of AI for business schools

L&T Network meeting
27 to 28 March | Macquarie University City Campus | In person + online
Associate deans learning and teaching from business schools across Australia will attend this first L&T Network meeting for 2025.
The meeting will include a Strategy Workshop, to develop plans for the Network in 2025 and 2026.
We will also explore AI from the perspectives of:
- Skill needs for industry
- Changing learning experiences and skill needs for students
- Staff development
- Assessment and academic integrity
- Employability
